Like previous versions of the IP.Board 4.x series, I'll be checking for any issues, updating where needed and confirming compatibility with the new release of IP.Board 4.5.x. Bugs & New Features As with previous updates, I can't focus on both compatibility and adding new features and bugs. There are a few exceptions that I'll note in the release notes but the majority are just compatibility with IP.Board 4.5.x. IPS Marketplace Revisit* The IPS Marketplace now requires a change to how some data is stored in applications and plugins. This does not affect how a plugin or app work but does require extra changes. Therefore, some apps or plugins will not be immediately updated in the IPS Marketplace and only available on this site. I will revisit these apps and plugins and make the changes needed to have them updated in the IPS Marketplace as well. Yes that's how it should be. Sandbox is only if you've got the Paypal Sandbox setup and testing like that.

IP.Board 4.4.x will require more substantial changes than the v4.2 and v4.3 updates required. So I will be going through all my applications and plugins to confirm compatibility and fix issues where needed. As it stands, I expect most of my major applications and some plugins will require new updates to be compatible with IP.Board 4.4.x. I'll prioritize this app for you. Should be released within the next few days. The Videos was checked and updated but I have not packaged it up and release it yet. That should be done within the next day or two.

I'll be going through and checking compatibility this upcoming week for all my apps.

To reward active customers and members, a new group has been setup called Premium Members. This group will be available to members with more than 30 posts. Along with customers with an active subscription, this new group will be able to access the Premium Content forum. Which will be filled with access to exclusive modifications and beta testing for new modifications. With much more to come! Along with the customers group, the premium members group will have less restrictive post and download restrictions, not limited to more personal message limits, more upload space and less wait time for search.

No not yet. I took almost all of last month off to do ipb 4.4 checks and updates. I am now resuming new features and custom work again.

All apps and plugins should now be released and available for download both here and the IPS Marketplace. Thanks for everyone's patience. The Collections app also received some bug fixes. And the Basic Points app received some new features. The remainder fixes either critical errors or implemented some performance improvements that IPB 4.4.x recommends. Please report any bugs you encounter in the bug tracker. I'm also interesting in new feature suggestions as well.

Well they did an unexpected move, LOCKED the video app nobody was expecting that move... That was a disaster move.. Then they come up with IPB 4.7.2.1 and unlocked the Video app and everything was fine... Anyway, all fine right now...

@Michael, do you plan to update Portal 1.8.1 for IPS 4.7.2, especially regarding the compatibility with PHP 8.x?

I've just released an update for this plugin with a new IP.Board 4.6.x specific option to disable friendly number formatting system wide. If you upload the tar file as a new application in your admin cp, it will automatically convert the old plugin data and remove it for you.

Same. I've even seen that the admin/management (Michael) has logged in every day since I submitted it - but no bueno on any responses to my ticket or the forum posts in here or the paid support forum. Guess the support mantra of "You can expect a response within 48 hours from any support ticket submitted. This includes every school and public holiday. If for any reason, support ticket responses will be delayed, there will be a notice in your Customer Centre." isn't accurate.

I just bought the News application. When I try to edit the default category to change the name, I get this error: Sorry, you do not have permission for that! 2S119/1 The CSRF protection key did not match. This may indicate a plugin or theme is out of date. Please contact technical support for more information. I disabled all other third-party applications to see if one of them was causing the problem, but I still the error message. I opened a ticket with Invision Power and explained the problem. They said that if I'm getting the error message when only the News application is enabled, then it's an issue with the News application and that I had to contact the developer. What can I do to fix this?

I've released an update for the Videos app on both sites. But IPS is obviously going to be slow to approve new updates as they will have a lot for IPB 4.5. You'll need to talk with them about it. But the IPB 4.5 update for the Videos app is available on my site now.

Per category custom fields is definitely going to be added in a future update. I'll have to make sure it supports the existing setup, so I'm thinking of just adding an option into the custom field to choose which categories to appear in. Regarding the wishlist suggestion, does the "mark item" feature work for this in anyway?

@Michael - Any plans to enhance this please? Recurring + more payment options through Stripe, will definitely help.

Was there anything else done? I just added a few dozen videos quickly and increased the setting but can't reproduce this still.

It looks like they do this within the files itself. See admin/applications/forums/sources/classes/forums/class_forums.php Find and change 30 to a higher number: $forum_data['last_title'] = IPSText::truncate($forum_data['last_title'], 30);

I've been using this for years - it works fine on 4.3.x. Just use the 4.2 install file.

@Michael just a quick note that the try/catch wrapper in the hook file "\autowelcome\hooks\validatehook.php" keeps getting duplicated. EDIT: I forgot about the bug tracker, made a bug report there.

New releases were slowed down a little while working on IPB 4.3.x compatibility but will resume back to normal again. With the first release for this month being the "Forum Status" plugin. Forum Status Set an "active" and "inactive" status for forums and allow members to toggle the forums homepage display for either status. Set forums to exclude and which member groups can access. The website and forums have had a few minor modifications in preparation for the IPB3 final release. These changes were made to make navigation between site and forums more easier and simpler. Content such as the products page and client centre will still remain on the site and the forums will do what it does best with discussion based content such as news, testimonials and articles now in the forums. This offers an easier way to discuss and add new content rather than writing a system for each of these on the site. And will free up some of my time to work more on modifications rather than maintaining the sites code and content. In these changes two new forums have been added. Company Feedback is for any feedback regarding the site, forums or modifications. Customer Testimonials has been moved from the site to the forums as an easier way for customers to add there testimonials. When IPB3 is released and we have a default skin up and running, I'll be writing up a template based on that skin for use on the site, this will allow the products page, client centre and forums to look same throughout and utilize the same navigation. If you have any further improvements, ideas or suggestions for the site, modifications or forums, please post them in the Company Feedback forum.
