Management Michael Posted May 31, 2009 Management Report Share Posted May 31, 2009 Anyone else give Windows 7 RC1 a go yet? Installed it yesterday, so far so good. Haven't had any driver or software problems yet.
soap
I also use Win7. I like it a lot. I've used it since the first public beta. And now I recently changed to the RC. I use the 64 bit version. In the Beta I didn't have problems with drivers, but I have now in the RC. The RC doesn't include drivers for my wired network. Wireless is working fine. And I haven't been able to find working drivers yet.

soap
Yes. I think that is the problem. I just find it weird that the driver was included in the beta and now isn't anymore. But it is kind of early to find drivers written for win7.
rol
Win7 is a good OS. I installed Win7 x64 on a test PC and no problem with drivers. Problems comes with some x86 applications ;)
Paul
Might give this a try, does it use vista drivers? Paul
Management Michael Posted June 3, 2009 Author Management Report Share Posted June 3, 2009 Might give this a try, does it use vista drivers? Paul So far all of mine have been compatible. I don't think Microsoft wanted all the drivers issues they had with Vista. You may have some problems with the 64 bit version though. Paul
It will be the 64 bit version i install, will install it and have a play :)
soap
Remember if you try to use unsigned drivers in win7 64bit you have to turn off the signed drivers enforcement. You do that by clicking f8 when you start (like for safemode) and there will be an option to turn it off.
rol
No problem with drivers for me. But I installed the x64 version on a test PC. So I didn't install many applications.
