Regarding the message box, I guess it's in html and I have to <br> the line brakes. I notice the code disappears in the ACP after submit. Same for auto birthday and auto welcome. Which I guess it's fine because it seems to work.
The bug comes in when I go back to it another day to change a setting, do not touch the message box at all, click submit and the message reverts to wrap around text. Using IE8.

The first sentence is not a bug as this is part of IPB, the line breaks are added when ever you press the Enter key.
Regarding the second sentence, could you expand on what you mean by wrap around? Is this in the setting or in the actual contact message you receive?

What I meant was that if I go back to the settings another day and change something else leaving alone the message box (not doing any editing to it), when I submit the new change (other than message box) the message box loses the formatting and it's all one continuous paragraph.
Just to clarify, this is the message text area box when adding/editing a subject? Would you mind taking a quick before and after screenshot, just need to get an idea of what kind of formatting it's loosing.
Could not find as way to upload the screen shots here so I sent them straight to you.
The first screen shows how it looks when I formated with the <br> under settings. Left it alone, went back, edited another section on the setting leaving the editor box untouched, clicked submit and you see the outcome under screen2.
Only way to get around this is to modify the editor each time I change any other setting.

When you provide admin/ftp access I'll take a look at this as well. Because although I've been having trouble lately with line break issues in mods, I've been unable to reproduce this on my test board. Only thing that I can think of is that you might be using IPB 3.1.3? as that does have a problem that was fixed in IPB 3.1.4.
If this is the problem I'm already running 3.1.4.

Confirmed, I should be able to reproduce this on my test board but can't.
Anyway here is a manual patch, I've already patched your board files for you.
Open admin/applications_addon/other/contact/modules_public/display/display.php
Find:
Replace With:
Save admin/applications_addon/other/contact/modules_public/display/display.php

I see that the box now is keeping the formating. Looks good and does not change when you change some of the other settings.
1. did you have to use <br> ?
2. This is the issue I encounter in the Auto Birthday and Auto Welcome regarding the formatting, will this fix also apply ?
3. If apply this fix to the mod files it should be ok when I update my live board, correct?
Thanks,
JB
PS. Your bug tracker can not be seen by the iphone skin, I usually have to browse in full safari.

I just tested #1 above. Works perfect without the <br> and continues to keep formatting.
Can you advise on #2 above. It has the same issues.

2. The Auto Welcome Members mod has been updated to fix this as well, you'll need to re-download again and upgrade. Might want to wait a few days as another bug has been reported that I'll be fixing soon.
3. Yes just apply the same fix in the file edit and your live files will be updated.
P.S. Probably due to the tracker not supporting the mobile skin, the tracker is currently being updated by the author (Alex) so will be upgrading when that's out.

2. I'll hold off on the Auto Welcome until I hear from you especially if you are working on another bug, please advise when ready.
On the Auto Birthday, I should be ok if I apply just the fix correct?
Is there a subscription in where we get notified on our purchase items when they get updated?
Many thanks for your outstanding support.

I tried to edit the Auto birthday regarding this issue but could not find where to do it as it has a different structure.
I also could not find the path on the Auto Welcome as there was not a modules_public folder section.
Let me know if you wish for me to start another tracker over by the Auto Birthday/Welcome section.

Auto Welcome: No instructions were provided, you'll need to download the latest version (v2.0.1). The line break issue is fixed in this version but there have been some reported problems with the PM, if you have this problem, do you mind if I troubleshoot further on your board?
Auto Birthday Greeter: Yeah if you wouldn't mind creating a new report, helps me keep things organized a bit better.
Mod Updates: Major and minor updates are emailed to mod owners using the email listed in your client centre. Updates are also posted in the news and updates forum. I also use Twitter and Facebook, so you shouldn't miss an update.

Not a problem, I'll download Auto welcome 2.0.1 and you can trouble shoot on my test site all you want.
Do me a favor, if you change anything please let me know.
I'll go ahead and post on the auto birthday. I was hoping to move the live board Saturday night. If by some chance you can fix the line breaks on the AB please let me know. Thanks.

Your admin/upgrade/ folder was renamed, I temporarily renamed it to run the upgrade script. Regarding the Auto Welcome, you don't appear to be getting the bug some others are getting. But if you do notice any problems, just let me know.
I renamed it for safety reason. Are you saying that with the new version 3.1x I could just leave it default and no rename it so I can upgrade any of the mods that needed. If I don't it won't work, correct?
Thanks,
JB
Thanks,
JB
I think the instructions do mention to rename it, so might want to continue with it. But yes the link leads to admin/upgrade/ so it needs to be called that to access the script. You might be able to get around it by changing the url in your browser to what ever you renamed the upgrade folder.
