No use for featured vehicles

Flag for v3.0.1 when I can get more feedback and suggestions.

I like both of the ideas you have suggested.
For item 1 I would like the option to choose Featured Vehicle of the Month or randomly let the software choose (automatically at the start of each month).

Item 2 may lead to some problems - on occasion I have had members view their own vehicle a few hundred times a day (ether manually or with a bot) just to keep their car on the top of the latest update list.
So I fear option 2 is too easy to abuse.

Another (likely harder to implement) option might be to have voting for featured car of the month - basically the same as a poll. Then at the end of the month the winner is the Featured Vehicle of the Month.

I'm open to other suggestions too...

I don't think it has to be a separate poll - you are just looking for the results so ID'ing the poll might be all you need.

I like the idea of top 2 or 3 most viewed vehicles in the featured block, but I agree with Loren on the system abuse potential.  The down side to random featured vehicles is that there is already a random vehicle block on the garage home page.  I guess my idea would be to include both options if possible and maybe just eliminate the random vehicle block on the garage home page.  Maybe make the #1 featured vehicle show for all hooks also (portal and sidebar)

I've just added a way to disable the featured vehicles. Other suggestions will be looked at next version.
