Hello ..

I don't use IE but several of my members do, and just recently they have brought to my attention that they are having trouble accessing their PM's.   Please see attached video...  http://www.burntheed...ll/ie_error.wmv

When you click the drop down button, which drops the menu for profile, settings, content, and yes "Messenger" what happens is that you cannot select anything but it immediately takes you to your profile page, again, without actually clicking on anything at all.

The only recent change that I made was I "rebuilt content" within the Admin/CP, because another member was having trouble with his personal profile page and I thought it might help.  I have a feeling that this might have been the cause ???   Just throwing that out there.

I wish everyone used Firefox or Chrome, but that's a discussion for another day.

Meanwhile, I gave instruction on how to access their PM's a different way while I troubleshoot the main problem.

Anyone have any ideas??

It's a funny thing.. I search and look and poke everywhere I can think of and it isn't until I post something somewhere that the answer comes right away.

Ends up being a javascript issue between IPB software and IE and a patch has been released that addresses this http://www.ipbforums...net-explorer-9/ <-- I don't know if that's the official place for the patch or not but worked fine for me.
