This is a points system I was involved with.
No file edits.
Members can receive points by posting topics and replies. A topic creator can receive points when others respond to his/her created topic. If a topic gets x number of replies there can be yet another bonus.
If you set a forum to give negative points then it takes away points when someone posts. You can even set it to NOT ALLOW posts if someone doesn't have enough points to cover that forum's cost (in negative points)!
