I set it up for an autopost then registered and validate (and logged in) a new account but it didn't post a welcome topic.

You seem to have the same issue as the guy above, check through the second and fourth last posts to see if that helps. Could either of you provide me with a ftp/admin access to troubleshoot this further? I'm unable to produce this error on my test board.

I've updated this mod with a few fixes. That should hopefully fix the url issue and topic creation. Please remove the auto welcome application then re-install to get updated. (thanks to m4rtin and emoney for your help with this fix. )

I have done the edits, installed it and set it up but nothing works. I have registered a new user with a different e-mail and nothing works. I have it set for PM, Shoutbox, topic (dunno if it even works yet with 3.0.1), profile but nothing happens.

Try admin new member in the admin cp, let me know if topic creation works then.

Just to confirm your using IPB 3.0.1? Have you tried add new member in the admin cp?

It makes a topic if i manually add a new member in the acp. It also makes a topic if i validate a new account in the acp. It don´t make a topic if the new members validate their account by email.

But I found the problem I think!

Bingo, that could be the one. Try this edit and let me know if it works. (I'm exhausted now, if this is the bug will issue a fix in the morning. )
Open admin/application_addon/other/autowelcome/sources/welcome_members.php

Find:

"id=".$member['member_id'], false, true );

Replace With:

"member_id=".$member['member_id'], false, true );

Save admin/application_addon/other/autowelcome/sources/welcome_members.php

open admin/application_addons/OTHER/autowelcome/sources/welcome_members.php

Adding the "other" to it.

Michael, having problems. If I add the user myself through ACP - it works but when they register through the site (and I approve their account) nothing will happen with the mod. Any ideas?

I did the edits before hand and it didn't help.
