Saying the search engine for ipb is attrocious . For what we use it for , well yes it is .
I have tweaked and prodded the thing to do basically what i want but the users still have to
go to the advanced search page ( Where I have set search by topic title etc to default in the code ) .
My question is this , I have made a button linked to my advanced search but still cant get it to only search
BY DEFAULT in the forums I want it too .
We have alot of non music threads/forums and unless it is manually set to not search in those forums
the users just looking for the music forums have to read through a pile of stuff they never asked for
NOW before anyone says tell them to read and search properly , we have but my point is
How can you set a button to only search certain forums .
I have searched and can't find a mod that will do this .
I did get it to work once but for some reason it set the whole page as a search box :lol:
(ie:- whatever you clicked on , link etc it came up looking for that , Dont know how so I put things back the way they were )
So all up
Does anyone know of a way to make a search link ( With an input box that only searches titles )
And only searches in certain forums ?
