I have a problem now where when I choose what forums to enable topic notes on it just sends me to admin main page.

It did used to work, my guess is it is the old IPS problem of a hook/application over-riding another.
(I do have the IPS patch for that installed too)

Just thought I'd mention it though in case it is of any use to you (basically I can't get to the settings - just goes to main admin index page).
The actual hook itself works for the forums it is enabled for, just I can no longer add or remove forums/categories & user groups etc it is used in somehow (so admin acp problem).

It's all cool though and no big deal as I only enabled it in a couple of sections as I found it too much of a security risk.

I'd rather it was viewable by staff only and no option for them to allow members to see a message without my approval 1st (Or simply limit public viewing to an option only I can choose - me with being number I.D. 1 and as such the founder).

Can you access the settings through the System Tab > System Settings > Devfuse tab > topic notes? If your only going to use this as a staff notes mod, I can give you a file edit to restrict viewing to only groups that are selected in the manage topic notes setting?

I guess I'm missing something obvious, but the only people who can see the notes are those that have permission to edit them. Is there a setting where I can have everone see the notes but only admin who can edit?

It's a great mod for us by the way, we're using it to let our vip members show off their linked blogbanners! I love it!

When you add a note, then you have the options to set the view permissions. The manage permissions you set in the settings are only for which groups can edit/add notes.

You can't see the hook displayed like in this screenshot? - http://www.devfuse.c...=204&record=945

Could be a number of things, first try re-installing the hook from scratch, double check all the install instructions. You can also try rebuilding your skin cache.
