This is the discussion topic for the next version of IPB3 Global Messages. I have several suggestions from the previous version and likely to include 90% of them. A few of the most requested ones like different styling/colors for each message and support for custom pages will also be included this version.

Will update when definite feature list decided upon and screenshots are available.

Current Planned Feature List:

• Group permissions will now follow secondary groups as well.
  
• Add option to show message based on post count, options include equal, greater and lesser.
  
• Add option to change message style, include new css class for message and error and option to use custom css class.
  
• Addition of expand/colapse from IPB2.3,
  
• Support for custom application pages.
  
• Option to display global messages in sidebar as well. (Index only so wouldn't follow page permissions).
  
• Option to stop displaying message after set date.

Here is an example of the global messages with ajax in use. Will need to research this a bit more but should be able to add in v2. Will need a bit more work before inclusion in v2. This might not make it in the final version.

Due to lack of interest I've decided to wrap up what features are completed. Quite a few were included but ajax navigation was problematic so left it out. It will be someone revisited next version.
