Probably only relevant to Australian viewiers, but this morning the Australian government announced the structural separation of Telstra.

The Rudd government has announced a package of reforms to telecommunications regulations that will pave the way for a break-up of Telstra.

while a good idea in theory i don't see it making much difference to anything unfortunatly..
