Description:
Simple to configure hook that adds a Paypal donation form to your sidebar. With the option to enter your own custom html donate code. Also includes group permissions as well as a percentage status bar of your donations based on an entered goal amount. Full version of Donation Tracker can be found here.

August 7th 2009 Fix: Status bar will now work with portal as home page.
August 12th 2009 Fix: Now passes XHTML validation test.

Latest release fixes the portal as homepage issue. Update by re-uploading the hook.

I have just installed this hook on my test forum but for some reason does not show on the forum,I have set permissions to who sees it.
My guess is when uploading the files i have done it wrong,I opened the file and uploaded public to public,is that what I was meant to do ??

Just ignore me, I did not put my paypal address,thats why it did not show.

When send a donation paypal show me (wrong) informations:

The first information should be the "Donation Name" (subject), but when using umlauts in it, it show not correctly.

And, what means "D1" (Verwendungszweck, german word for subject)? Where i can edit the "subject"?


Edit: Okay, just found it in the skin:

<input type='hidden' name='item_number' value='D1' />

Maybe you can add a setting for the "subject" (item_number) !?

It is the email address you use for your PayPal account.
If you do not have one you will need to create an account at PayPal.

As said above, should be able to use the email address you login to Paypal.com with.

Michael,

I followed the instructions, everything right but I don't now why the status bar is missing. Weird since I uploaded all files and the paypal verified img and the money image are ok. I did a test, deleting the dir /graphs and, of course, nothing changed so uploaded again and still the same thing.

Any ideas?

Have you entered a donation/goal amount? Also make sure you've filled in your paypal address, the donate sidebar won't show if it doesn't have the paypal address filled out.

Looks like the images weren't uploaded. Make sure you upload the public folder and graph images to each of your skins.

Well I don't know what else to do, I gave a 777 chmod to /donate_sidebar  and /graphs, copy them to each skin (/public_html/forum/public/style_images/master/donate_sidebar/graphs, /public_html/forum/public/style_images/light/donate_sidebar/graphs) but the bars doesn't really appear, I give up... :(

Might want to try a different FTP program, if the images are being uploaded then they could possibly be corrupted. Trying an "auto" transfer type if your ftp program supports it.

If you still want to get this fixed, PM me your ftp details and I can try uploading the images for you.
