I'm not sure if this is has been addressed before or not.  I may have even asked myself, i can't really remember for certain.

Here is my dilemma.  Maybe i just have a combination of settings incorrect or maybe i am just not able to do it in the combination that i would like by design.

I want the meter and numbers under the meter to reflect only:
-The totals of goals currently UNderachieved and...
-The totals of donations made towards only those currently UNderachieved goals

That much I already have set the way i would like.  However, when i have it set that way and go to "All Goals", it does not actually show ALL past goals.  It only shows UNachieved goals and does NOT show any previously achieved goals.

In the same way, under "All Donations", it does not actually show ALL past donations.  It shows the donations that went towards UNachieved goals but NOT those towards previously achieved goals.

I have members that wonder why donations that they have made do not show under the "All Donations" pages.  I know that it is because their donation went towards an achieved goal, but that is not how we would like it to behave.  Is there a way to get it to behave in the way i desire?

Despite what we have set to show as totals in the meter, we would love to see a list of ALL past goals including achieved ones in the "All Goals" list.  And we would love to see ALL past donations including those that went towards now achieved goals in the "All Donations" list.

If there is not a way in the stock settings, i highly recommend a setting to include/disclude those donations/goals in the "All Donations" and "All Goals" pages.

Also, if there is no stock way to do this, could you possibly help me with the required edits so that i can get it to show that way now?

My support has expired and i was planning on renewing once a new version came out.  But if i need to renew my support now to get help with how to make the proper edits for this, i will be happy to.  Just let me know.

thX again for everything!

P.S. I hope this is the correct place to ask this.  If not i apologize.

So you basically just want to reverse the all donations and goal status? So all donations show every single donation and the goal status will only show unachievable goals and underachieved donations that are linked to underachieve goals.

Sounds like you need to add a archive feature to it. So that when you look up all the past donations it shows all donations archived from previous goals.

Thank you for the reply!

Yes, i would like...
-The "Latest Donations" block on the main donation module page... and the "View All Donations" page to show ALL donations both towards achieved AND UNachieved goals
-The "Latest Goals" block on the main donation module page... and the "View All Goals" page to show ALL goals both achieved AND UNachieved

But... while still keeping the totals and amounts represented by the meter and shown under the meter to ONLY be based on UNachieved goals and donations made towards UNachieved goals.

I hope that makes sense.

thX again!

Will hopefully be expanding on this next version, plan on adding a month by month history search with graphs like google analytics does.

Will take a look at this tomorrow, if the changes are not too complicated will provide you with some files edits. If they are I'm afraid won't be able to work on this until after IPB 3 is out and all the mods are upgraded. That's when I'll starting adding new features to mods.

I've pm'd you some file edits that should achieve most of which you want. The Donation Tracker has always been a mod that people want to take into different directions, so I can't guarantee these changes will be in the next version.

Thank you, that worked great and did everything i wanted except for one small thing.  It now also shows goals that have not yet started.  For example, it shows...
December 2008 Goals
January 2009 Goals
February 2009 Goals

...as it should.  But it also shows...

March 2009 Goals (not set to start until March)
etc...

Also, it does show page numbers as it should in the "View All Donations" pages.  However, it does not add page numbers in the "View All Donations" page. (for when the number of goals exceeds the number to be shown on a single page)

I hope that all makes sense.

Thanks again for everything!

P.S.

Problem is that you want it to show underachieved goal and the march goal would be underachieve. There is one index for seeing if a goal should be seen or not, it might be better to have 2 indexes, one for is a goal ready for viewing (within the date range) and one is the goal achieved (100% donated). I won't be able to add this as a few edits though just yet ;)

I know it's a bit more work, but with your current edits, I suggest you remove goals that are not ready for viewing until this features is added next version.

Not a problem at all.  I only have a couple that aren't ready for viewing yet so it shouldn't really be any work at all.

Not that it is a big deal at all, but i thought you might want to add it to your bug list...

And i also just noticed that the meter % and the notation above it that shows the % received, do not match by 1%.  At least on my board.  For example... my site shows "12% of Goals Received" just above the meter, while the meter itself shows "13%".  Take a look at my site if you want to see exactly what i mean.

Neither are a big deal at all and may even just be a result of the edits i made that you sent me.  I just thought i should let you know.

Are you getting sick of me yet? hehehe  I just got a message from a member with another bug.  The "Top Donors" list is not accurate.  It seems to be pretty far off, actually.  In the ACP i have it set to show the "all time top donors", NOT the "top donors since the last donation total reset".

I'm not sure if it was correctly reflecting the "all time top donors" before these most recent edits, or not.  So i'm not sure if it is a bug or just a result of those edits.

Sorry i have become such a pest again, hehe, and thank you again for everything!

No, it is quite alright, yours and others feedback and suggestions have made this mod what it is today. :)

The above edits should not change the top donors, works on a completely separate function. One thing to remember is that the top donors will not select anything from anonymous members.

How exactly is it off? Does your board have different currencies?

I made a spreadsheet of the donor list as it can be seen publicly and sorted by name to see who has donated the most by grouping each members multiple donations together for easier math. (Hope that makes sense)  This way i am also sure not to accidentally add in anonymous donations.

The member who has donated the most is not first on the list but rather 10th.  And the person listed as first should be list 3rd or 4th.  If you like, i can send you my spreadsheet or you can just look under my "View all Donations" pages and compare it to the "Top Donors" list.

Is this stored in the database or pulled from totals through a query?  If it is the database i can just go in and reset the totals or something.  If it is a query that something is being figured strangely.

I hope that all makes sense and thank you again!

I will take a look at this next version, the donation tracker is the 2nd mod to be added with new features after IPB3 comes out. By the way exporting to spreadsheet would be a good idea for a feature. Just added it to the list.

Good idea for exporting it to a spreadsheet!

thX for taking a look.  If by any chance, you do take a look at it any sooner, though, let me know since i've disabled "Top Donors" from showing at the moment because of it being inaccurate at my site.  Even if you could tell me where exactly to find how it figures "Top Donors", i can take a look myself and see if i spot anything with my novice eyes.

thX again!

In sources/components_public/donate/functions.php, in function top_donors. If you wouldn't mind, maybe you could export your donation tracker table data and I could try and troubleshoot this on my test board.

thX for that file location and info!

I am more than happy to send you that table data.  Do you prefer .sql exported files from phpMyAdmin or raw .frm/.myd/.myi files from my server?

Are these all of the tables you need?
ibf_donate_currency
ibf_donate_demote
ibf_donate_goals
ibf_donate_logs
ibf_donate_users
ibf_donate_visits

Any that i am missing?
