just a future suggestion if there can be levels of donations

ie:
$1+ = promotion to group a
$10+ = promotion to group b
$50+ = promotion to group c

things like that....

seem feasible?

Definitely possible, not quite sure about feasible but would like to see more responses from the other donation tracker customers before I add this feature.

The points integration upgrade will somewhat take a similar approach.

$1+ = 100 points
$10+ = 200 points
$50+ = 500 points

If there is enough for support for your idea, perhaps it could tie into however much money is donated, different actions are performed. Like if $10 is donated you can set it up to send 200 points and upgrade them to Advanced Donators group. Would definitely save a lot of extra work if it's in 1 place.

However development of most modification including the Donation Tracker is suspended until we hear more about IPB 3.0 from IPS. So wouldn't have an ETA as of yet regarding the next Donation Tracker update.

Also different levels can have different number of points...like level 1 : 100 points level 2: 200 points...etc.

In a somewhat related request... and be warned I will probably go on forever here... it would be cool if promotions could have time-limits but those time-limits could also be settable per dollar amount.  Even cooler though, would be with a time-limit bonus for more dollars given at a time.

The database would have to make a note of what group a member was in before the promotion so that it could demote them back to their original group when their promotion time-limit had come.

The complicated part might come if someone has set up auto-promotions based on post counts.  It would be nice if donor based time-limit demotions would run a check to see if any automated post-count based promotions are in place before demoting a member back to their original group.  That way if someone would have received an auto-post-count based promotion during that time, they would be in the correct group in the end.

Anyhow, here are some examples of promotions with time-limits based on dollar amount:

$1 = 3 Days credited towards their promotion time-limit (Only 3 Days per dollar, $5 increments offer more)
$5 = 1 Month credited towards their promotion time-limit
$10 = 2 Months credited towards their promotion time-limit
$15 = 3 Months credited towards their promotion time-limit
$20 = 4 Months credited towards their promotion time-limit
$25 = 6 Months credited towards their promotion time-limit (1 EXTRA Month credited towards their promotion time-limit FREE)

Time-limits would be assigned at the time of each individual donation.  Additional donations would simply add time to their current approaching limit based on the same ratios.  In other words, in this example a member can't donation $10 and then $15 at different times to get 6 Months credited towards their promotion time-limit.  They would get 2 Months for their first $10 donation and then another 4 Months added to whatever time they had left at the time of their second $15 donation.  I hope that makes sense.

Now that I read it all again, I'm not so sure it is all that related at all, hehe.  Except that points and promotions to group A, B, C could be done in a similar way.

Here are some examples of how the same principle could be used for points and multiple promotion groups...

As Applicable With Points:
$1 = 5 Points awarded (Only 5 points per dollar, $5 increments offer more)
$5 = 50 Points awarded
$10 = 100 Points awarded
$15 = 150 Points awarded
$20 = 200 Points awarded
$25 = 300 Points awarded (50 EXTRA Points awarded FREE)

As Applicable With Multiple Promotion Groups:
$1 Accumulative Donations = Promoted to Group A (Donor)
$5 Accumulative Donations = Promoted to Group A (Donor)
$10 Accumulative Donations = Promoted to Group B (Large Donor)
$15 Accumulative Donations = Promoted to Group B (Large Donor)
$20 Accumulative Donations = Promoted to Group B (Large Donor)
$25 Accumulative Donations = Promoted to Group C (Super Donor)

$1 Single Donations = $1 credited towards next ranking Donor Group
$5 Single Donations = $5 credited towards next ranking Donor Group
$10 Single Donations = $10 credited towards next ranking Donor Group
$15 Single Donations = $15 credited towards next ranking Donor Group
$20 Single Donations = $20 credited towards next ranking Donor Group
$25 Single Donations = $30 credited towards next ranking Donor Group ($5 Extra credited towards next ranking Donor Group FREE)

Anyhow, you get the idea... hopefully.

Probably the easiest way to lay it out in the ACP would be two separate controls grids... one for accumulative donations and one for single donations.

These could all be used in combination, too.  The possibilities would be limitless as to how we could combine options for awards and such.  Setting it this way can really encourage members to donate more frequently and at higher amounts so they can get FREE bonus credits for additional points, prolonged promotion time-limits and quicker advancement to more unattainable groups.

I hope that all makes sense.  An example that might much better show one such combination possibility in a mock ACP could look something like this... (The below examples will use the data from the other examples above as a base for reference)

Although, bonuses for reaching specified benchmarks with accumulative donations could be given as well.  Bonus rewards for reaching certain benchmarks would not have to be just for single donations as seen below.

i think this is a great idea.... i would like it to send members to different groups with different donation levels... ex: $5-$20 = group1 $20+ = group2
