I'm really wanting to stick with portal as it's more my speed. I want the layout to look like: Maybe willing to pay for different layout options unless it's controlled by theme. I use the new "widget" sidebar to add sidebar widgets instead of a template to manage the column look of the previous Portal. If you were to add a custom layout like your screenshot, it wouldn't be possible in this version to just drag and drop a widget into the locations you wanted.
